DuctCalc.Ca is the iOS offline adaptation of the renowned online ductulator application found at ductcalc.ca. Users can take advantage of the app even without an internet connection upon subscription.

App Engineering Explanation:

• Equal Friction Method: The DuctCalc.Ca Ductulator App employs a predetermined static pressure loss per unit of duct length to calculate the diameter of round ducts and the dimensions of rectangular ducts. The app then determines the air velocity for both types of ducts based on these dimensions.
• Velocity Method: By utilizing a predetermined air velocity, the DuctCalc.Ca Ductulator App calculates the diameter of round ducts and dimensions of rectangular ducts. Unlike traditional ductulators, this app calculates rectangular duct dimensions based on the provided velocity, ensuring a more precise velocity output.
• The Colebrook equation is utilized to determine Darcy's friction factor and calculate the static pressure loss within the duct until it aligns with the specified airflow and absolute roughness of the inner duct material.

In-App Purchases:

• Without a subscription, the app is limited to calculating airflow within the range of 950 to 1100 [cfm]. To access the full air flow functionality, users can choose from four subscription options: one month, three months, six months, or one year.
• All subscription plans unlock the "Full Air Flow Functionality" feature of the duct sizing app for their respective durations. This feature extends the air flow range to 1 to 500,000 [CFM] or 1 to 235,974 [L/s] in metric units.
